The Knox County Probate index includes estate files opened in Knox County, Tennessee, starting in 1954 and ending on December 31, 2023. The index was created in early 2024 by exporting the relevant fields from the master probate computer file maintained by Knox County Probate Court. Closed files are held by the Knox County Archives; open files remain with Knox County Probate Court.
Estate files created prior to 1954 were not assigned docket numbers. These files are currently being processed and are not accessible though most have entries in the Will and Estate Settlement Books.
