On September 27, 2023, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Knox County had the honor of recognizing the work and passion of Ellie Kittrell, Director of Early Care and Education Systems at United Way of Greater Knoxville. Prior to her work with United Way, Ellie was the co-founder and Executive Director of Muse Knoxville. She serves as a Bright Start TN fellow and is working with Tennesseans for Quality Early Education to facilitate Knoxville-Knox County's first-ever strategic plan for children birth through third 3rd grade, recently launched as the Bright Steps Action Plan
