2019: Jinx Stapleton Watson

Jinx Watson holding the first Seeds of Literacy award: a pair of wooden bookends decorated with trees

Jinx is a founding member of the Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. She was also an early advisor to Knox County Public Library's Children's Festival of Reading. She was a co-founder of UT Knoxville's Center for Children's and Young Adult Literature, whose mission is to engage and empower young readers through quality contemporary children's and young adult literature.

We were honored to get to present Jinx Stapleton Watson with the inaugural Seeds of Imagination Literacy award on September 17, 2019. She remains an active part of the literacy community in Knoxville today.
