Summer Library Challenge
This event is part of our Summer Library Challenge. Soar into summer and let your curiosity take flight! When you attend this or another summer program, log another activity in the Read City USA 'Sky Above Us' challenge!
We often take it for granted, but without our Sun we couldn't exist. The Sun provides light, heat, and energy to us. But what do we really know about it? What is the Sun made of, how hot is it, what are sunspots? Come explore these and many other questions with Dave Wells, NASA Solar System Ambassador. During this presentation, we will learn about the Sun, engage in a fun craft activity, and observe sunspots with a solar telescope (weather permitting). It will be sure to brighten your day!
