Program Description

Event Details

The best way to read Shakespeare is out loud -- and with friends! The Tennessee Stage Company and Fountain City Library invite you to read Hamlet with us -- out loud. On November 16 at 2:00 we will gather to read Hamlet. We will be reading a new cutting, as we work toward the full production we will present next summer as part of our Knoxville Shakespeare season.  There will be chairs set up for the actors, and for anyone attending who would like to be part of the reading. There will be seating for people who want to listen or read along silently. This event is free and open to the public. We welcome all voices, all dialects. We read the plays for the joy of reading them and to hear and discover more about the play and to consider the effectiveness of the cutting we chose. We hope to see you at 2:00 November 16.
