Program Description

Event Details

Create a holiday wreath inspired by a hero or villain from a book you've loved! We'll display your creation at the library and the public will vote on their favorites in four categories: Preschool, Ages 5–10, Ages 11–17, and Adult.

Rules

  • Bring your wreath to South Knoxville Branch Library on Friday, December 6th between 10:00am and 5:00pm and fill out an entry form. (You may bring in your wreath after this date if you can’t possibly make it, but it won’t have as long to receive votes.)
  • Each contestant may enter only one wreath. Groups may collaborate on a wreath if they’d like, but each group may only enter one wreath.
  • Wreaths should be inspired by a story (book, movie, show, video game, etc.). Use your imagination!
  • All decorations must be appropriate for all ages. If a wreath begins to deteriorate before the end of the contest or display period, library staff may discard at their discretion.

Voting

  • The public will vote on their favorites through December 21st. Winners will be announced and contacted on Monday, December 23rd.

Wreaths must be retrieved by Friday, January 3rd. Any wreaths remaining after that date will be discarded.
