LEGO Club
Warm up those building fingers and come down for LEGO club, where you'll build alongside other kids who love LEGOs as much as you do! Your creativity + determination + bricks = LEGO awesomeness. (LEGOS are provided by the Library and cannot be taken home.)
Event Details
LEGO Club gives participants (children and teens) an opportunity to make interesting creations with Legos and have their designs displayed to the public at Powell Library.
Each month a building theme will be chosen and utilized on both Lego Club days. The participants can make a Lego creation, and the designs will be displayed in the Powell Library for about a month. Valerie Knight will be the presenting on both dates. Her credentials are an enjoyment of working with children and encouraging their creativity and believing that Legos are educational while also being a lot of fun.
All supplies and equipment are provided by the Powell Library.
Powell and Knox County Libraries juvenile collections books related to the building theme of the month will be displayed. Participants will be encouraged to explore the theme and any other topics of interest to them further on their own by accessing books and materials from KCPL.
