Event Details
Daytime Docs is a monthly film series featuring documentaries that bring awareness to diverse perspectives and life experiences through the power of visual storytelling.
In honor of Black History Month, we’ll be screening the 2023 documentary The League. A celebration of Negro League baseball's triumphs and challenges through the first half of the twentieth century, The League explores Black baseball as an economic and social pillar of Black communities and a stage for some of the greatest athletes to ever play the game, while also examining the unintended consequences of integration.
Viewers are encouraged to stay after the screening to discuss the film. Then browse our Sights & Sounds collection to take home a few documentaries and films until our next screening!
