Event Details

Daytime Docs teams up with Tennessee Archive of Moving Image and Sound (TAMIS) to present a special screening of the 2018 film 306 Hollywood. When siblings Elan and Jonathan Bogarín undertake an archaeological excavation of their late grandmother's house, they embark on a magical-realist journey in search of what life remains in the objects we leave behind. 306 Hollywood transforms the dusty fragments of an unassuming life into an epic metaphor for the nature of memory, time, and history. We invite you to join John Morton and Janine Winfree from TAMIS for an after film disucssion.

Founded in 2005, TAMIS preserves East Tennessee’s cultural history as recorded on film, video, and a variety of audio formats.

Daytime Docs is a monthly film series featuring documentaries from the Library's collection that bring awareness to diverse perspectives and life experiences through the power of visual storytelling.  Screenings take place every third Sunday of the month in the Library's meeting room.
