On November 30, 2022, Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs and City of Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon were joined by Senator Becky Duncan Massey, Commissioner Carson Dailey, Imagination Library of Knox County, and others to celebrate the installation of the permanent Knox County Public Library Storybook Trail at Ijams Nature Center. In addition to leading dignitaries on a tour of their new trail, Ijams preschool students enjoyed leaf printing, discovering animal artifacts, and creating nature journals.
A special thanks to Governor's Early Literacy Foundation, Friends of the Knox County Public Library, Knox County Health Department, Knox County Parks and Recreation, and Knoxville Parks and Recreation for making this trail possible.
